Hailing from San Francisco, California - Franky Kohn a.k.a. Clearcast has spent the last couple of years putting us on notice with their slickly executed production stylings.
Outside of producing WTRGRL's debut album 'Dripsody' (which shows an impressive level of production ability and musical maturity), they've dropped a handful of UKG-influenced singles and remixes that have continued to demonstrate that they know their way around the studio.
The latest example of this is fourbyfour release 'Paparazzi' - an aptly rolling 4x4 number which layers up dreamy pads, bubblegum arps and subtle vocal cuts with a sliding squelchy bassline to maximum effect. The resultant timbre is uniquely Clearcast in its presentation, enticing infectious - leaving us wanting more.
If you aren't yet familiar with Clearcast, now's the time to get to know.
