As you'll have probably realised by now, we here at NUKG 24/7 are big fans of 2 Step. We've also got a lot of time for prolific producer & busy DJ, Dan T - who somehow manages to bounce between Garage House & contemporary NUKG stylings, all the while retaining his very unique sound.
& with 'All Alone' he doesn't disappoint, with a subtle (perhaps unintentional?) nod to one or two tracks from Club Asylum's Urban Dubz release '2006 Album Sampler'. The track seamlessly blends a skippy-yet hard-hitting 2 Step beat with some classic filtered chord stabs & distant, haunting nee ambiguous vocal cuts. A deep sub bass underlays it all, pushing proceedings along nicely to create a really well-rounded & enticing release.
It's left us a bit torn, as we want to hear more... yet we also so enjoy Dan's jazz-infused Garage House stylings (check out previous release 'Prove Your Love' as a perfect example of why) - we simply don't know what to demand next.
One thing's for sure - whatever it is he decides to do: we'll be listening!
