Marvel & Eli drop slick rolling bass bump

A duo arguably in the running for a long service achievement award, Marvel & Eli have been pumping out ️‍🔥 c/o their (cleverly named) label Marvelis Records since 2001.

Although it's a label which has been a home for quality releases from the likes of Majestic, Dexplicit & Qualifide (amongst others); there's been a clear focus on releases from the owners in recent times.

& their latest release (the 4x4 Mix of 'Rainy Day') is an absolute doozy. It kicks off with a tough 4x4 beat that wouldn't sound out of place on a Tuff Culture record, before soulful chord stabs build towards a subtle drop - marked by a lovely female vocal cut: before a ridiculously bouncy & catchy sub-heavy bassline kicks in. In a weird (& tbf, probably unintentional) way - the result reminds us of the classic DJ Faz Locked On release 'Destiny' - & that's certainly no bad thing!, though it's definitely more topical & fits better with what's going on in NUKG right now.
