During his short-but-prolific tenure as one of NUKG's leading lights, BWK Project has received support from pretty much every notable in the scene, & even holds the prestigious right to identify as the only individual to make a guest appearance on DJ EZ's notorious Nuvolve Radio show. His name has become synonomous with quality, dancefloor-ready 2 Step. That's why it's slightly surprising to hear him drop a slick 4x4 roller for Level 4's inaugural release. But don't be perturbed by the knowledge he's strayed from his signature sound, as the high level of production remains nonetheless - & this is a track that can't fail to get people moving on the dancefloor. 'Baby' is available everywhere now, having enjoyed a successful 2 week exclusive run on Beatport.
Meanwhile, LV4002 just dropped on Beatport - featuring Garage mainstay & recently rebranded D·votion (formerly D'Votion), with a bass-heavy slice of vocal 2 Step action which is properly geared up for the dancefloor. It's a nice contrast to LV4001, but maintains a similarly high level of production.
As an aside, a third Level 4 release is available to pre-order now. LV4003 sees Starkey P step up to the plate with a gritty 4x4 roller, to further bolster the Birmingham label's developing reputation for strong NUKG releases. It's a strong start for DJ Tripz's new imprint & - assuming it's a sign of what's to come - we can't wait to hear more.
