Fans of UK Garage won't need a rundown on Scott Diaz's accomplishments within the genre (and further afield, for that matter). The Undagrnd Freqz and Nitelife Audio boss has been doing his thing for many-a-year now; in recent times that "thing" has included mentoring and engineering some of NUKG's brightest prospects. One of those prospects is none other than Adam Kronik, perhaps best known for releases c/o FooR's Garage Shared imprint.
We're fans of both artists respectively, so were chomping at the bit to report in on a collab between the two for Level 4's latest offering. Unsurprisingly, the result is engineered to the highest level and cherry-picks / blends some of UKG's most nostalgic elements: with skippy drums, snappy vocal cuts, organ licks and filtered pads galore. Whilst the pair combined might not share a single hair, their collective head is clearly full of intriguing ideas - and we're pleased to note that hasn't gone unnoticed, with BBC R1's Jaguar selecting the tune to showcase on her BBC Introducing Dance show last night.
Fans of vinyl will be pleased to hear that the track is also set to feature on a pressing in the immediate future to boot! If you can't wait until then though and need to pick up the digital release - you can get it here.
