Legendary About 2 takes things darker for latest release on Strange Times

As long as there's been UK Garage, Maxim Sinclair has been a presence behind the scenes. Under an raft of different guises (including Tru Faith and About 2), he's had his fair share of success - both on the underground circuit and the mainstream - with tracks like 'Let The Beat Hit Em' and 'Freak Like Me' crossing over in UKG's heyday and making waves on a global scale.

With that in mind, it's perhaps fair to say that he doesn't get his flowers - especially when you consider what a productive powerhouse he's been in recent years: with a slew of releases across the likes of Strictly Flava, Lush Recordings and his own imprint Tru Faith Recordings.

Recent releases have seen him mix it up amongst Garage's various sub-genres, with him covering 2 Step, Garage House and the bumpier side alike. But his latest 2-tracker on none other than Strange Times sees him take things down a topical, slightly darker route. 'Whine Ya Body' blends a hard-hitting rhythm track with rave stabs and a Ragga vocal; whilst Weekend Comedown is an interesting blend of elements - retaining the bump of recent Garage House releases but underlaying them with a grittier drone bass which sounds absolutely immense on a club system.

We wouldn't be writing about it if we didn't think it was worth of a listen. Needless to say - you can nab it here.
