One who opts for quality over quantity, Green Deep's discography (as far as UK Garage goes, at least) is small-yet-strong. We haven't seen a release from the man in quite some time, so we've been looking forward to the announcement of forthcoming material.
Thankfully, he just shared a snippet of a full-vocal 2 Step track - apparently 3 years in the making - featuring Charlie Sanderson & the legendary MC Neat. The record features the original vocal (performed by Junior) from Force & Styles' 1996 classic Happy Hardcore track 'Pretty Green Eyes' (later covered by Ultrabeat, for a successful outing in the top 40).
Green Deep's put his NUKG twist on it: with a vintage bass-heavy skip, Neat's usual deep bars & rolling flow rounding off proceedings perfectly. From the little clip available to hear right now, it sounds like it's going to be perfect for blazing in the sunny weather - so you can definitely expect to hear it when you're lounging by the pool this year.
'Pretty Green Eyes' releases on 10th May c/o none other than New State Music, but you can have a listen now via Green Deep's IG. Like what you're hearing? Pre-save it here.
