Regular readers will be well-aware the high esteem with which we hold veteran producer Green Deep. We've viewed recent social posts from him with sad tears in our eyes, as he's announced that 2024 will be his last making music. His departure will be a great loss to a scene which, frustratingly, never properly embraced his skills.
All that said, we're honoured to be behind one of his final releases - a superbly summery slice of vocal 2 Step for which he's teamed up with cheeky chappy MC Joe Burger, who's on top form as always. Together the pair have served up something which sounds like the kind of thing Mike Skinner might have dreamt of being able to record in his Locked On heyday - at the turn of the century.
It's a singalong, feelgood vibe which does exactly what it set out to do - and we can't recommend it highly enough.
