Fans of the blog will know that we love what MJ Cole's been doing with his Twitch stream and accompanying remix competitions. We've also sung the praises of DJ Pencil for his constant graft, as both an artist in his own right - and in the running of Step2 Records.
Evidently, pairing the two of them up on a track is a great move - as demonstrated by the below entry for the latest edition of MJ's remix comp: 'Heard It All Before'. Pencil's take on the track sits firmly in the Jazz Step category, making full use of horns - whilst also borrowing elements from tape packs he's apparently been pilfering for a forthcoming sample pack. Yowsers! Enticing stuff.
