NUKG 24/7 is a big fan of Omalettie's bass-heavy, smile-inducing sound & was as such pleased to be alerted on a Wildifre Recordings release which features him alongside Ohio-based DJ-Pipes.
The result is a 3-tracker which convincingly blends Speed Garage with Breakbeat to full effect, & is absolutely essential listening for anyone looking to give their sub a little workout.
First up, lead track 'Vibes' is as sold - a filthy retro Speed Garage warper - complete with dubtastic FX & vocal cuts. It's got a nice section in the middle with a familiar sounding bassline, a cheeky throwback nod to 'Ripgroove' which we couldn't help but smile at.
Omalettie jumps in on a remix of afore-mentioned switching out the classic Speed Garage stylings for something more contemporary, throwing in some soulful chords for good measure & switching between a hard-hitting 4x4 beat & some Breakbeats.
Pipes rounds off proceedings on his lonesome with a cheeky 2 Step number which blends some nice chord chops with plenty of cheeky vocal chops & more rudeboy bass.
