There's a small group of individuals who can attest to truly having been present through UK Garage's ups-&-downs. Oftentimes, in spite of their vast input over a long tenure these heroes (who championed UKG when - frankly, nobody cared), remain unsung. Whilst he worked dilligently with notable stations, clubnights and put out an extensive amount of releases through his label 42TF (Four 2 The Floor Recordings); it's probably fair to say that Freeze FM alumni DJ Elski is an obvious example.
That's part of the reason we're always so excited to hear new music from the man himself... the other part being that, given his extensive knowledge of the genre and the length of time for which he's been involved, we've come to expect a certain standard. And his latest double-drop certainly doesn't fail to deliver.
'Feel It' (The Rub A Dub Mix) interestingly blends elements of Hardcore with vintage 4x4 beats, to create an authentic 90s H&G vibes; but it's the 'Loving Dub' which really tickles our pickle - blending nostalgic pad hits with Housey beats and that signature M1 organ bass - to perfect effect. Both tracks have been rounded off with the tiptop mastering skills of legendary Mike Millrain to boot: so you can be assured these are going to bang if you drop them on the right system.
You won't find these releases on any of the bigger download sites, so you'll need to head over to the 42TF Bandcamp page in order to nab them.
